It's too bad the class ended up like this. Like I mentioned, I've been saying in passing I survived the pandemic thanks to fanfiction and even shared a couple of links (not to my own stories!) with people but I mostly get blank stares and at best "weird and a bit childish but as long as it works for you dude" vibes. Ah well.

I wouldn't even know or want to approach the topic in a large group, I think. A lecture sounds like it could have been such a good opportunity to open people's minds a little and make them curious, it's too bad it didn't work out that way at all.
