Fluffy Tuesday - or, how I came to be a H/G shipper

I know it's a bit late, but I actually did the challenge before there was one - on accident, and felt it would be fun to share.

Years ago, I didn't like Harry/Ginny. I loved Ginny, and Harry was cool, but together? Nah.

Well, I was writing an AU fic in which Sirius had been caught. (This was pre-OoTP). Well, Harry was upset, and Ginny ended up comforting him.

So I wrote it, and realized how fluffy it was - even Harry/Ginny-ish.

And how much I liked it.

Yes, that was random, but I needed to talk about something cheerful HP related anyway. So there you go!

I used to be against H/G. It never made any sense to me, after all, she is "Ron's little sister." When I first came to the Quill I started to read the fanfic there, a lot of which included Ginny comforting Harry. It finally occured to me how similar they were. Ginny had been through enough experiences to understand what Harry's going through but is funny and outgoing enough to keep his spirits up. I know you already know this, but I finally realized that, and now H/G is pretty much my OTP. :)
