Aw, such lovely imagery in the first paragraph to draw us in. I like how you kept the fairy tale narrative voice throughout. It fit with the descriptions of Tonks's childhood and the book she loved - and then it added a sinister resonance to the description of the war and what it did to her family life.

The glimpses of other characters - her best friend, Bill and Fleur, Remus and the ring, all were little stories in themselves. Very nicely done. It really flowed well. These sort of pieces aren't easy to write.
