As a side, there's definitely a lack of apprecation for the Sirius-James dynamic.

I sooooooooo agree. As much as I enjoy a good fanon R/S, the Sirius-James dynamic is my absolute favorite relationship in all of canon. I think their friendship runs so true and so deep, and I am always so blown away by how much Sirius loved James and how he transferred that love to Harry.
