I haven't seen either of the episodes you mentioned, but I agree that they should make sure they are not exploiting an issue rather than discussing it. If the ramifications of an issue, such as an eating disorder, doesn't inform the character for the rest of the series, it is unrealistic because that is not a thing that goes away after a quick family intervention. It is part of their daily life and struggles. Same with someone who felt truly harassed (and I'm happy to hear Brooklyn matures a little bit, we just started it and the first season, while fun, just seems kinda childish. I want Jake to be a little more of an adult than he is, but that might be asking too much LOL)
