*snerk* I got my first pair of glasses over Christmas break my Freshman year.
Anyway, walked out of the mall, looked across 2 parking lots and the street to another mall, and could read the shop signs on the side.. and my reaction was... "you are supposed to be able to read those??" (I'm nearsighted)
Hah, I did exactly the same thing when I got my glasses, grade 10 for me.
I knew it was time for a new prescription last year because suddenly my husband could read all the upcoming street signs and far away signs, and I couldn`t.
Ooh, yay, glasses...I got tired of mine around 6th grade and have been wearing contacts ever since. Although, I recently got a stronger pair of glasses for reading into the wee hours of the morning...I kind of like them. ;) Have fun!
Hee. I remember in second grade, when copying down the spelling words for the week on the board, I thought all the 'a's were 'o's. And that was when we knew I needed glasses :P
I also just got glasses recently, just a few months ago. I had a three hundred prescreption, so yet, it helps a lot. But I still don't wear it all the time.
Welcome to the world of the seeing ;) I had the same reaction when I got glasses in fourth grade..."Wow! You're supposed to see the leaves on the tress?"
Every year since then I've gotten a stronger prescription, so I must be pretty blind now :P
