Founders Fic

I'm very much desperate for a good founders fic.

No love triangle smut. No gross historical inaccuracy.

Arya has a fic called The Sorrow of Slytherin - on SQ - that is quite good, but I'd also like to see others. Surely she's not the only one who has founders fics that aren't all about teh fownder er0t1ca or luv drama?

Hmm. I think Persephone Kore at the Quill does founder stuff, but I don't know if it's the main subject of her stories or just background she's developed, as I've never read them. I think she does quite a few AUs, but Founder-fic should be far back enough in time that the stories wouldn't have reached their point of departure and they would still be canon-compatible. Other than that, I can't think of anything. I haven't had much time lately to read and I don't usually seek out that era.

I don't remember who wrote it (but it's on the Quill), but it's called A Kiss From Mogana (or something very close to it). It's short and not completely about the founders, but it is of that same era and takes place right before/during the opening of Hogwarts.

Er...I meant to say Morgana

[livejournal.com profile] antonia_east has a few Founders-era one-shots on her fic journal, [livejournal.com profile] lily_tarn. She tends to focus on Helga Hufflepuff, IIRC. Try this one (http://lily-tarn.livejournal.com/2841.html#cutid2) for starters.

Aw, thanks Mags. Well that saves me the internal debate about whether to mention my own fic! Probably full of historical inaccuracies, but it's only a thousand odd words, Amy, so blink and you'd miss them.

And I was going to rec Andrea13s 'Thinking Cap' stories - the Founders are only voices in the Sorting Hat, but they are funny as anything.

Also Arrabella has a long one shot here. It's Rowena/Godric (if I remember right), but definitely no Founder erotica. Even typing that is so very wrong.

I don't have any recommendations to make, but if you find any, post a link to let us know. :) Oh, I have heard good things about Showbox Diaries on LJ, but I understand there is some lurve-ness once you get into it a ways. *shrugs*

How about Jetamors' gen recs page? She has a section dedicated to the founders.

i came here through the tarie friending bravado thinger...heh as I go on then.

name is Lexie, though in my entries I tend to sign it as Lexile and i'm called all sorts of names..., i'm almost 22, I tend to post either lots of small posts or LARGE posts mostly daily. i complain about my job alot and I like many many things. i am not a true fan of the HP'verse, but I really enjoy reading fanfics (mostly draco/hermione, draco/hermione/blaise or anything parody-centric) and the essays.

and that's it.

right oh then.
